We provide both private and NHS dental care at Ridgeway Dental Practice. Your NHS care is provided through a General Dental Services (GDS) contract held by the practice with the local area team of NHS England. If there are changes in our provision of NHS dental care such as new patient charges, arrangements or discontinuity of the GDS arrangement we will endeavour to keep you informed.
The NHS provides all the treatment necessary to maintain your oral health, however there are some treatments which are not available under the NHS and you may choose to have these privately (for example tooth whitening). We will always ensure that patients are aware, from the outset whether they are receiving care under the NHS or privately. A written estimate of treatment costs and a clear explanation of how many appointments may be necessary will be provided.
Choosing to access your care through a private arrangement can give you a wider range of more aesthetic treatment options. Our pricing structure is displayed in the patient waiting area.
We offer a full range of dental services including cosmetic treatments, orthodontic treatment, dentures, tooth whitening and tooth coloured alternatives to silver fillings.
At the initial visit patients are advised of the expected cost of treatment. Credit & debit cards, cash and cheques are all accepted following treatment. Please inform the receptionist if you are entitled to free dental treatment, you will be required to provide evidence. To see our current price list please see the chart displayed in the waiting room at the surgery or click on this link.
If you have any concerns about your care or treatment please ask to speak to Richard Wills, our Practice Manager, who will attempt to resolve the complaint following the practice complaints procedure.
